Statement from Rachelle Lefevre On Recasting Victoria
Posted by: | CommentsI’m still in disbelief as to why Summit would choose to replace Victoria. I never knew who Bryce Dallas Howard was until this happened. Interestingly enough, she’s the daughter of someone famous.
I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse. I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.

Posted by: | CommentsI wonder if this is real? She plays the perfect Victoria. Did they not see Stew’s acting in the hospital scene? “uh uh, don’t leave, no.” No word from Summit, yet.
Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.
