Do I need to announce that the headline or the following text may be spoilers? Oh well. InStyle magazine asked nine designers to come up with a sketch for their idea of Bella’s wedding dress in her wedding to Edward. In Eclipse, we find out it’s a 1918-ish wedding dress with white satin and vintage lace. Bella thinks, “It was my Anne of Green Gables vision all over again.” None of that sounds appealing to me.

In Breaking Dawn, Bella has a hard time imagining walking down the staircase “in heels and a train.” The next description that I could find was after the wedding. Bella calls him biased and Edward turns her around to have her look at her reflection in the glass, “..shimmering white dress flared out subtly at the train almost like an inverted calla lily..”

My favorite? Monique Lhuillier‘s creation. I would love to have a Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. Or a replica. My second choice would be Prabal Gurung’s. While not the same style as the book, I think Kristen could pull off wearing that. What style dress do I think they’ll go with? Maybe something like Erin Fetherston’s. It screams old. And what is up with Reyes’ design? Is that even a dress? View all the designer’s sketches below.
